A few things to know before you start.
Can I download AI Office now?
AI Office is still in development and release preparation. The Mac App Store version is not yet available. Contact us at the email below for release information. Final features and system requirements will be listed on the official store page.
Is AI Office free?
The first release is planned to include free basic editing and limited free AI, with no in-app purchases or subscriptions. Actual AI quotas, rate limits and availability are determined by the app and service. Unlimited usage is not promised.
Do I need an account or an AI API key?
The current version has no personal account sign-up or sign-in screen, and you do not need to enter a model API key. AI authentication and usage management rely on a random installation identifier and separate credentials in the background. This does not mean the AI service processes no data.
Are my documents uploaded automatically?
Local editing does not require uploading an entire document. When you authorize and use AI, your instructions, relevant file content, attachment content and the current conversation are sent for processing. The app also registers an installation instance for AI in the background. See our privacy policy for details.
Is it fully compatible with Microsoft Office?
AI Office supports common editing of DOCX, XLSX and PPTX files. It does not promise compatibility with every complex format, macro, advanced formula, animation or legacy DOC, XLS and PPT file. Back up important files and check layouts and calculations in the target application.
Can I edit PDFs, use templates or generate images?
The current version supports PDF reading, but not full PDF editing. A local template center, standalone Markdown / HTML editing, web search, image and video generation, and MCP / CLI integrations are not currently enabled.
